My path to becoming a therapist started by working for a psychiatric hospital in the business development department. Through this experience, I was able to go out into the community, hear people's stories, and assist them in developing plans to heal and maintain freedom. My primary therapy goal is to create a therapist-client relationship by providing care, compassion, and encouragement so clients can express themselves fully without judgment. We will make a plan that best suits your needs because no two clients are alike. With a vast history of client success as a licensed professional counselor, my individualized approach will help you attain your goals.
Our initial session is a psychological screening to gather information so I can get the big picture and create a plan to help you accomplish your goals. With my approach, I will be able to uncover processes that haven't been working for you and help you create new skills to get what you want out of life. My primary therapy orientation is person-centered, emphasizing the importance of the therapist-client relationship.
It provides the client with a no-judgment zone to express themselves fully and uncover conscious and unconscious roadblocks. No two clients are alike and what works for one individual might not work for another.
As a therapist, I am continually growing and expanding by taking different training and courses, collaborating with other mental health professionals, and working on my personal development. I believe that no one approach fits everyone, so I bring a variety of approaches and interventions and continue learning so that I can be the most effective therapist for you. My primary therapy orientation is person-centered, emphasizing the importance of the therapist-client relationship.
